Vegetables Crudités with Cheese Dip

Crudités (pronounced crew-dee-tay) are a popular French appetizer which consist of  sliced or whole small vegetables and served with an appropriate dip.

As for the people who is on going with any weight loss program, I am suggesting this to be your between meals snacks.

Ingredients:
  • Asparagus
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Carrot
  • Green Bean
* All these vegetables requires *blanching --  to taste a little better and are more digestible if they have been cooked slightly for minute or two.
**Blanching is a cooking term that describes a process of food preparation wherein the food substance, usually a vegetable or fruit, is plunged into boiling water, removed after a brief, timed interval, and finally plunged into iced water or placed under cold running water (shocked) to halt the cooking process.

  • Celery
  • Cucumber
  • Zucchini
  • Capsicum
  • Radish
  • Cherry Tomato
* served raw

Cheese Dip
You can make your own cheese dip using cream cheese.
  •  whipped butter
  • cream cheese - thawed
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp each basil, dill weed, black pepper, thyme (up to your taste bud)
Directions:
Blend all ingredients together in a food processor fitted with metal blade. Transfer to a bowl or container, and let sit in the refrigerator for two hours or more before serving, to allow the flavors to combine.

Or if you're in a hurry, just grab a pack of Boursin cheese in the grocery store.

Tips: Bring it to the office as a between meals snacks as a replacement of crackers/cheezels/twisties etc..

Isn't it  a healthier choice, low in calories, and yet still satisfyingly crunchy, sweet, and fresh tasting.

Last but not least..

Lose weight, feel great!
